Flo Rida offers to duet with The Saturdays
Posted by James on 19 Aug 2010
Flo Rida has extended an olive branch to The Saturdays - he wants to record a duet with the girl group.

The rapper pipped The Saturdays to the number one spot last weekend with his track Club Can't Handle Me.

The Saturdays had to make do with third place with their single Missing You.

But Flo Rida now wants to make peace: "If we could make a collaboration happen I would be up for that."

"I don't know much about The Saturdays but we put smiles on people's faces when we make music, which counts more than getting number ones," he told The Daily Star.

The Saturdays 24/7 - 'Episode 1'
Posted by James on 17 Aug 2010
This access-all-areas series follows the five members of girl band The Saturdays, Frankie Sandford, Una Healy, Mollie King, Vanessa White and Rochelle Wiseman, both on and off duty.

In this first episode we meet the girls during the first two weeks of promoting their new album and single and see what goes on during their hectic schedule of gigs, photo-shoots and TV appearances as well as what they get up to in their private life with boyfriends, friends and family.

The show also features an exclusive performance of their hit song Ego.

In unguarded moments, the series captures the girls’ mickey-taking and their individual habits and foibles, providing a unique insight into their personalities and the relationships between the band members.

When we first see the girls in a rehearsal session, they’re one member down as Mollie has been bitten by a horsefly on her leg and instructed to rest.

She’s being looked after at home by Andy her boyfriend and Alfie the dog and says: “It’s put a strain on the band, you have to rearrange the formation and someone’s having to learn my lines and my harmonies.”... READ MORE?

Missing You at Radio City Live (Mollie, Una & Rochelle)
Posted by James on 17 Aug 2010

As you all know The Sats were forced to carry on without Vanessa & Frankie over the past couple of days, due to them being struck down with illness. Above you can watch Mollie, Rochelle & Una performing Missing You as a three piece at Radio City Live. Enjoy!

The Sats put on a brave face after missing out on first No.1
Posted by James on 17 Aug 2010
They've nervously waited all week to see if they would manage to land their very first No.1 single.

But it wasn't to be for The Saturdays as their new single Missing You entered the charts at a disappointing No.3.

They were beaten by Flo Rida, who took the coveted No.1 with The Club Can't Handle Me, while Enimen and Rihanna stayed one step ahead in the number two slot.

The girls were probably very disappointed but they kept their chins up as they took to their Twitter pages as soon as they were told the news.

Rochelle Wiseman wrote: 'Thanks to every single one of you that bought #missingyou we love you... READ MORE?

Saturdays night fever
Posted by James on 17 Aug 2010
THE SATURDAYS must be jinxed. After spending most of last week as frontrunners for this week's No1 single, they missed out - and two of them fell ill.

To make matters worse, they lost the chart battle to FLO RIDA - who has stopped them reaching top spot before.

Gutted ROCHELLE said: "We can't believe Flo Rida has beaten us again.

"If you can't beat him, we'll join him. We're going to ask him to rap on one of our songs. That way we don't have to worry about him beating us again!"

Just as they learned they had slipped to No3 with Missing You, FRANKIE and VANESSA were struck down with a vomiting bug, forcing them to pull out of their gig at London's G-A-Y club night on Saturday.

MOLLIE added: "We're obviously disappointed because we'd love to be No1. But No3 is still a great result... READ MORE?

The Saturdays forced to axe GAY gig
Posted by James on 17 Aug 2010
The Saturdays didn't have the best of weekends - the girl group not only missed out on topping the charts but also had to pull out of playing GAY at the last minute.

The girl group were pipped to the number one spot by Flo-Rida's Club Can't Handle Me.

They had to settle for third place instead for their single Missing You.

The girls were also forced to pull out of a gig at GAY on Saturday after Frankie and Vanessa were hit by a vomiting bug.

A source told The Daily Mirror: "Frankie was so ill she couldn't perform and the girls were going to go on without her. But then when Vanessa started chucking up they felt they couldn't go on with just three."
